Collectible items are unique perks that players can acquire throughout the game.

The perks could range from informing the player of certain aspects of an Episode such as puzzle clues, to sometimes saving the player from deathtraps.

All these collectibles are obtained by finding all the pieces or performing a specific action.

Husher's Haikus[]

Husher's Haikus are collectible items hidden in the Husher Mansion on Episode 1.

The Haikus are a collection of three folders that offer insight into the current Episode and inform the player of potential threats, along with the location of other collectibles.

You can obtain the Haikus by finding three folders around the map. One is located in the same drawer as the master key. The second is in the backseat of Husher's car, in the backyard. Julia has the last folder, and can be found in the attic.

Episode 1 Haikus[]

  1. "A crying friend, a parting gift, but only if they're themselves" This haiku hints towards the crying Revenant of a deceased character that will leave a parting gift - their personal item - only if they are acting as themselves and not out of character. Interacting them when they are the latter would kill the character.

  2. "A faceless figure, a room of smoke and death. It guards the door" This haiku could refer to Saul's room which is a death trap if the player attempts to interact with it. It could also refer to 'The Door' minigame as smoke comes out of the door when it starts.

Episode 2 Haikus[]

  1. "The crawling ones. Listen behind the mirror. Don't let them out." This haiku refers to the deadly mirror found in a storage room, covered by a white cloth. Taking the cloth off will let 'them' out, killing the character.

  2. "Searching for the glow. Warrior, cage, rain, And one down below." This haiku refers to the locations of the Coltar tokens, which is the 'glow' as stated.

  • 'Warrior' refers to the samurai statue
  • 'Cage' refers to Erica's spider cage that can only be safely interacted with by using pet food found in Farber's kitchen.
  • 'Rain' refers to the trashcan at the outside of the apartments
  • 'One down below' refers to the orange door at the basement that can only be opened safely once the player has the luminol and keys to the storage room.

Episode 3 Haikus[]

  1. "Left door ajar. Suddenly the way out, was beyond reach." This haiku refers to the ajar door with wire cutters inside at the university. Should the player leave the door ajar and not acquire the tool, the character who finishes the tasks at the newspaper archive will die. The Presence will corner them and they are unable to get out through the locked door, unless the player is playing as Rene (who will shoot the lock) or the player has acquired the wire cutters.

  2. "Proof of love, of self. He wants to recall somewhere. Far away from There." This haiku refers to the optional task of retrieving Maxwell's ring and giving it to him at the newspaper archive.

  3. "The shortest roads. Twisted, Rather than straight. Trust not your eyes." This haiku refers to the library where the player can only see the horde of monsters through the security footage, hence they are unable to trust their eyes by only looking at reality.

Episode 4 Haikus[]

  1. "Five repentances. A chance to alter fate, beckons the sinner." This haiku refers to the tarot cards that the player can collect. The tarot cards can disable a Presence event, therefore 'altering fate'

  2. "Purpose unfulfilled. Awaits frozen in time. Mind the bird in hand."

Episode 5 Haikus[]

  1. "Imprisoned horror, that does not like the light. A strong temptation."

  2. "Not here, nor There, she draws and she remembers What she couldn't know."

Coltar's Wisdom Tooth[]

Coltar's Wisdom tooth is a collectible item hidden in Färber and Sons Antique Shop in Episode 2.

It is a golden tooth that sometimes predicts the future and warns the player of any imminent danger, by having the player accidentally drop the tooth. This happens when you try to open a door that would be leading to your doom.

You can obtain the tooth by feeding 4 Coltar tokens to the fortune-telling machine at the front of the store. The first one is in a samurai's helmet, the second is in a trash pile outside, the third is in Erica's spider cage, and the last token is in a basement room that the Presence guards for most of the episode, which becomes safe once you create the Luminol mixture.

Maxwell's Lucky Coin[]

Maxwell's Lucky Coin is a collectible item hidden in the State University of Arts and Humanities in Episode 3.

It is a coin that determines the player's decision and recommends the correct choice before the decision is made.

You can obtain the coin by locating Maxwell's ring and giving it back to him. In the Archives, his ring is found on a mummified corpse in the projector. To remove the ring, you need to use the shears found behind an ajar door nearby. In the Newspaper archives, Maxwell can be found in the women's restroom; give him his ring and the coin will be left on the toilet after he disappears.

Tarot Deck[]

The Tarot Deck is a collectible item hidden in St. Cecilia's Abbey in Episode 4.

The tarot deck is made up of five different cards named after the current minigames in their chronological order of introduction. The Door, The Darkness, The Silence, The Abyss, and the Requiem.

To obtain the tarot deck you must find all five repentances located in the abbey. The five repentances are from:

Location: Underground crypt, where you solve the puzzle to pass through the monster in the water, on top of one coffin.

CAUTION: You can only get this item during the process of solving the puzzle.

  • 2. The treasurer-

Location: In the Basilica, on a wooden box.

  • 3. The librarian-

Location: In the storage room located in the side room of the Scriptorium. To get in the storage room, you need to use the deoxidizing solution manually from your inventory when you can interact with the door.

  • 4. The abbot-

Location: In abbot's study room, on the hand of the black figure's statue.

  • 5. The prior-

Location: In the grave yard, behind a door which you can interact but can't be opened manually. The door will randomly opened when the character passed by it.

DANGER!: After seeing the door open, QUICKLY run down the stairs, grab the confession, and run out. The inner door will close after a certain time from the door opening, and if your character is still inside, they will die immediately.

Usage: Each one of the Tarot card resembles one dangerous random event in the game. The card set in front of other cards flipped over, the corresponding dangerous event will be disabled.

Ariadne's Lost Drawings[]

Drawing One's description: "The representation of a scene that happened."
Drawing Two's description: "Depiction of a scene that must take place."
Drawing Three's description: "Depiction of a scene that could take place."

Usage: One less nightmare (2 rather than 3) has to be completed to open the final door.
